Dream Factory Foundation
Dream Factory Foundation is an award-winning women-led, non-profit organisation which was founded in 2011, with a mission to empower in-school (#BeTheDream; Online Safety) and out-of-school youth (Emergent Academy; Dodigi), particularly young women from low-income and rural communities through education, equipping them with skills and creating meaningful opportunities to become active citizens living purpose driven lives.

To date, these programs have impacted over 100 000 young people (70% women and girls) in South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Cameroon. In South Africa, the department of Education has incorporated parts of our #Bethedream curriculum into their compulsory life skills and career guidance textbook for grade 11-12 - reaching 2 million youth each year.

At the peak of Covid-19 in 2020, The Organization managed to adopt digital strategies that enabled our educational programs to continue to impact 5199 women and youth, also produced an educational program on digital skills on Botswana's National Broadcaster (BTV) and Cape Town TV, which reached over 100 000 viewers. The organisation has received several awards including the SA Women Entrepreneurs Climate Change Award, and being finalists for the 2022 CSI Rising NGO Award.
